Field hockey stick (Note: The length of the stick is based on player height. You can find used sticks on Facebook Marketplace!)
Mouthguard (Note: Be careful what you buy! Look for a high quality boil and bite mouthguard that molds to the teeth. It should have the ADA Seal of Acceptance for safety and efficacy.)
Hard shin guards (Note: The ball is very hard so it is important that the shin guards are as well!)
Long socks to go over shin guards and hold them in place
Hocsocx (Note: These are not necessary, but a lot of the players like to wear these under their shin guards.)
Water bottle that holds enough for a 90-min practice
Players will initially be divided based on age. Skill level will also be taken into account. Small grouping is flexible and may be adjusted as we progress through the clinic series.
All-Around Field Hockey Inclement Weather Policy
All sessions will occur outdoors on a grass playing field.
Sessions may be cancelled if unsafe playing conditions are present or expected to occur (i.e. heavy rain, lightning, or excessive mud).
In the event of a cancellation, participants will be notified through the email address provided in the registration process.
Each clinic series includes six scheduled sessions, with the expectation that one session may be cancelled due to inclement weather. In this case, no refunds or credits will be issued.
If two or more sessions are cancelled in a clinic series, $30 refund/credit will be issued for each additional session cancelled.
At this time the clinic series cater only towards field players. Eventually with the right staff we hope to welcome GKs as well.
Yes! We are in compliance with Pennsylvania state requirements for coaches who interact with kids.
